St. Albert Family Photographer | Family Photos at Lois Hole Provincial Park

If you’re looking for a St. Albert family photographer who loves relaxed sessions, natural locations, and kids being their wonderfully chaotic little selves, hello. Hi. It’s me.

This family photo session took place at Lois Hole Provincial Park, one of my favourite spots for family photography in St. Albert. It has beautiful trees, soft walking paths, and that calm, outdoorsy feeling that makes everyone settle in a little. Basically, it feels like nature is doing half the work for us, and honestly, bless her.

We wandered through the park, stopped when the light was gorgeous, and let the kids explore along the way. That’s the kind of family session I love most. Nothing stiff. Nothing overly posed. No “everyone sit perfectly still and pretend this is fun” energy.

Just connection, movement, snuggles, laughter, and real family moments.

Relaxed Family Photography in St. Albert

Family photos do not need to feel stressful. You don’t need perfectly behaved kids, matching outfits, or a detailed plan for what to do with your hands. I promise, nobody knows what to do with their hands. It’s a human design flaw.

As a family photographer serving St. Albert, Edmonton, and surrounding areas, I like sessions to feel easy and natural. We’ll still get a few smiling-at-the-camera photos because grandma deserves her fridge masterpiece, but the best photos usually happen in between.

The little hand holding.

The running down the path.

The giggles.

The cuddles.

The weird little kid moments that make absolutely no sense but somehow become your favourite memory.

That’s the good stuff.

Why Lois Hole Provincial Park Is Great for Family Photos

Lois Hole Provincial Park is a beautiful location for outdoor family photos near St. Albert because it feels peaceful without being too far from the city. It has trees, trails, open space, and plenty of room for kids to move around.

If you want St. Albert family photos that feel more relaxed, natural, and connected, this is such a lovely spot. It works especially well for families who want photos that feel a little less posed and a little more “this is us, right now.”

And truly, that’s what I’m always trying to capture.

Your family as you are. In this season. In this tiny, fast-moving chapter before everyone grows again and suddenly their shoes don’t fit and you’re emotionally unwell in the Walmart aisle.
